-
A maximum of four images can be entered into each competition. Images must comply with the subject category, size requirements and titling format for digital images, as shown in the summary below.
-
Images will be accepted on any type of camera memory card. Create a new folder on your card and name it with your K number. Copy your competition images into the new folder. Please remove all other files and folders from the card.
-
Memory cards may not be returned until the competition week, please ensure your name or K number is clearly written on the camera card for easy identification.
-
Submitted images will be entered randomly into one of four Groups: A, B, C, or D. Each group is expected to have between 10-15 images, with each member having just one image in each group.
-
K numbers will be removed from the filename, and replaced by a competition Group number, but titles will remain and projected with the image.
-
The competition will consist of 4 individual Group rounds.
-
Images from each Group will be projected and then voted on.
-
Choose the best overall image in the Group by noting the Group number on the voting slip. Please ensure your own K number is also on the slip. Any voting slip without a K number will be rejected. Voting slips will be collected after each round.
-
The image with the most votes will win the Group. In the event of a tie, all the highest tied images will be considered to have won.
-
This is repeated for all the four Groups.
-
At the end of the evening the names of the winners will be announced and the images may be re-shown.
-
At the end of the year, the combined images from all the Group winners from each of the six competitions will be entered into a final Annual competition and adjudicated by an invited judge. A winner will be chosen separately from each category, and from those, an overall winner is selected. Commendations may also be given, and the winner of the most group wins will also be announced.
