Rochdale Photographic Society is a friendly informal club with a varied program of weekly competitions, guest speakers, and practical evenings. If you are interested in photography or would just like to know more about us, you are welcome to join us and be our guest. We offer a trial period of three visits to all guests before asking you to become a fully paid member.

We have full digital facilities which together with the expertise of some of our members, provides a powerful hands on learning opportunity to club members, so whether its traditional darkroom photography or digital imaging there's always someone there to help you improve your technique.

We also run a number of 'extra-curricular activities', available to all our members.

Even if you don't have a camera, you may still enjoy our 'Sunday Club' outings, we have visited Martin Mere wildlife reserve, Tatton Park to see the stags in rutting season, embarked on a Derbyshire butterfly hunt, had several weekend trips to Snowdonia, staying at a local hotel and of course the Lake district is a regular popular destination.

Our 'Monday Models Group' runs several times a year and is also a very popular activity where paid professional models are booked for a photographic shoot up to the level of art-nude. Help and advice is always available from our more experienced members.

We also have a 'Gourmet Group' who enjoy meals out together at various local venues, with anything from curries to haute cuisine to pub food on the menu and eagerly enjoyed - no cameras permitted!

Affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union. Members of the Inter-Club Photographic Alliance
